Holiday Magic Parade & Event 2025 – Mark your Calendars & Save the Date
The Holiday Magic Parade (Canceled) & Event (Still Happening) look ahead; rain, snow, or shine. The event, being held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. will be traveling the new route. Click here for parade route details. Residents wishing to participate in the parade must register their vehicle, float or non-highway vehicle with the Village by December 5, 2025. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE REGISTERED IN ADVANCE. Entries not registered will not be permitted to participate in the parade. The total number of entries is needed in advance to ensure that provisions for adequate staging are made. All entries must be decorated in a holiday theme or with holiday lights. Alcohol is prohibited in the staging area and through the parade route and absolutely no candy or freebies can be thrown along the parade route due to limited visibility. Click here for Parade Registrations which can be submitted at the Village Hall during regular business hours or emailed and payment via IL ePay – Misc.

UPDATE: Village of Johnsburg & Community Affairs Committee regrets to announce that, due to the forecasted inclement weather and an abundance of caution for public safety, the annual Holiday Magic Parade (from J.H.S. to J.C.C.) scheduled for Saturday, December 13^th @ 5:30p.m. has been CANCELED. 

The decision was made after careful consultation with all public safety leaders and forecasted national weather service regarding the latest forecast; which predicts bitterly cold and dangerously cold temperatures, hazardous road conditions and possible snow. These conditions pose significant safety risks to parade participants, youth groups, volunteers, spectators, and first responders along the parade route. 

The Event will be primarily indoors at the Johnsburg Community Club (2315 W. Church St) beginning @ 5:30p.m. with a proposed Tree Lighting ceremony at 6:00p.m. with a special firework ceremony from our donators to light up the sky. We encourage all residents and spectators to participate in a 2025 modified Holiday Magic event with special guest Santa still attending from his busy Holiday schedule.
