JOHNSBURG ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Construction has been started on the first phase of the Johnsburg Road Improvement Project which consists of the area between Route 31 to approximately 500 feet west of the intersection at St. Johns Avenue and Chapel Hill Road. During the construction, traffic along Johnsburg Road between Chapel Hill Road and Route 31 will be limited to west bound only. Keep abreast of the construction's impacts by visiting the project's website at johnsburgroad.com. There you can also sign up to receive email alerts and updates related to the project.
SPRING BRUSH PICKUP
The Johnsburg Public Works Department will be conducting its annual spring brush pickup beginning June 3, 2013. All brush must be placed by the road no later than 7AM on June 3rd. Crews will make one pass through each subdivision therefore any branches that are not placed by the road when they go by will not be picked up at a later time. CLICK HERE for all the details.

JOHNSBURG VFW - MEMORIAL DAY
The Johnsburg VFW will conduct Memorial Day activities honoring veterans, both past and present on Monday, May 27th beginning at 9AM at the Seven Days Market riverfront by the Chapel Hill Bridge. A river wreath ceremony will be held to honor those lost at sea during naval battles. Flying aircraft are again part of this year's ceremonies. Residents and their guests should be by the bridge by 8:45AM in order to view the ceremony and enjoy the patriotic performances of the Johnsburg High School Band, choir and buglers. A parade will then proceed to the Johnsburg Community Club's Armed Forces Memorial where the concluding ceremony will take place honoring those killed in land battles. JOHNSBURG POLICE OFFERING FREE C.P.R. CLASSES
The Johnsburg Police Department is now taking reservations for several classes to be held in May and June. Each class will be approximately 2 1/2 hours in length. This Friends and Family course provides for the basic skills necessary for C.P.R. A $20 deposit is necessary to reserve a seat although will be fully refunded after the course is completed and on the date of the class. CLICK HERE for more information.
