POLICE OFFICER TESTING
The Village of Johnsburg is seeking applicants to establish an eligibility list for full-time Police Officers. Requirements include a $15 non-refundable application fee; U.S. Citizenship; No felony convictions; High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); Valid Driver's License; 21 to 35 years of age as of March 15, 2010 unless otherwise exempt by Statute; Submission of Online Application and all requested documentation by noon on March 15, 2010. Release Forms include Physical Fitness Certificate requiring signature from a Medical Doctor to allow your participation in Physical Ability Test; and Mandatory orientation and testing at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Johnsburg High School, 2002 Ringwood Rd., Johnsburg. PIONEER FEN DUTCH CREEK CONSERVATION RESTORATION
If you have noticed tree clearing on the Northeast corner of Riverside Dr and Johnsburg Rd no need to worry. The land is a dedicated conservation area that is being restored to its natural environment. The Pioneer Fen-Dutch Creek Conservation area consists of wetlands, prairie and former oak savanna. PRE KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Johnsburg School District 12 will hold registration for all children who are three, four and five years of age and who have not yet entered kindergarten. Registration will take place on March 9th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on March 10th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Ringwood School Primary Center. This registration applied to all preschool children ages three through five, even if the child has registered and been screened in previous years. The Johnsburg Educational Partnership Foundation invites you to attend the 17th Annual Shooting for the Stars Gala: A Night in Venice, on Saturday, March 13th at the McHenry Country Club. Tickets are $65 per person or $600 for the Grazie Sponsorship, which includes tickets for a table of 8 plus special recognition. The themed evening will consist of a seated dinner; 3 hours open bar, silent and live auctions plus live entertainment from Johnsburg's very own Bony Knees. Black tie is optional. JOHNSBURG AREA BUSINESS & CRAFT EXPO
The Johnsburg Area Business Association will hold it's Annual Business and Craft Expo on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at Johnsburg High School. Over 50 local businesses will be on hand with some special entertainment performing in the auditorium. Don't miss an afternoon of exhibits, prizes, games and fun. Admission and parking are free.
