CHURCH STREET ROAD IMPROVEMENT
Next week Curran Construction will be preparing Blitsch Place for new pavement. Alliance Construction will be pouring new sidewalk along both sides of Church Street. As a reminder, Church Street continues to be closed to thru traffic so use alternative routes whenever possible. If you must travel through the construction area, please proceed cautiously and be aware of workers.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND
2ND ANNUAL JOHNSBURG WINE WALK
Where: Angelo's Market, Stucky's Bar & Grill and Raymond's Bowl
When: 1PM to 4PM
Cost: $15/person (must be 21 years or older to participate)
Wine walk starts at Angelo's and includes tasting and appetizers at six stops in three locations followed by entertainment at Stucky's at 4PM
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH
JOHNSBURG LIONS CLUB MEAT RAFFLE
Where: Raymond's Bowl
When: 7:30PM
The proceeds will help support the JHS Football program. The first raffle starts at 7:30PM.
SAUFEN UND SPIEL WEEKEND – Sept. 8th through Sept. 10th
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH
10TH ANNUAL BLACK LIGHT BEAN BAG TOURNAMENT
Where: Johnsburg Community Club
When: Registration 5PM; Tournament Starts 7PM
Cost: $10 per person payable at registration
Rules will be passed out at registration; double elimination format. For more information or to sponsor a board, contact Brian at bubbarich63@yahoo.com Musical entertainment will be provided by Hans & the Hormones starting at 7PM
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH
11TH ANNUAL BANJO BEER NIGHT
Where: Johnsburg Community Club
When: 5PM
Musical entertainment will be provided by Steve & Steve starting at 6PM followed by Friction at 8:30PM. Remember to bring your appetite as there will be plenty of burgers, brats and hot dogs roasting on the grill. The event includes a raffle and some frosty beverages as well.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH
45TH ANNUAL SAUFEN UND SPIEL PARADE
Where: Departs Channel Beach Avenue going South on Johnsburg Road, continues through roundabout, North on Spring Grove Road, East on Church Street and ends at the Community Club
When: 12:30PM
Find yourself a good seat along the route and enjoy the parade. Afterwards head over to the Community Club grounds to enjoy fun for the whole family including rides, games and a variety of food and beverages provided by area restaurateurs and local organizations. Musical entertainment will be provided by Epic from 2:30PM to 6:30PM.
COW DROP RAFFLE
Where: Johnsburg Community Club
When: 4PM
Raffle tickets are limited. For advance tickets contact Brad Schwagerman at brad.floyd64@gmail.com. The grid numbers will be selected randomly by computer after the last ticket is sold. First Prize is $2000, 2nd Prize is $1500, and 3rd prize is $500. Winner need not be present. Proceeds benefit the Community Club and Youth Activities.
