Celebration in the Park 2022
Preparations are well underway for our annual Celebration in the Park event taking place on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at Hiller Park, 5500 Skyhawk Lane, Johnsburg, Illinois, to honor our fantastic home.
Residents and visitors are welcome to join us from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. for what is expected to be an evening full of fun that no one will want to miss.
Fun for all Ages
Celebration in the Park offers an opportunity to get together with neighbors and friends to celebrate our wonderful community. Our event has something for everyone, including children’s games and pumpkin painting, to get kids’ creative juices flowing. We also have a bounce house in the park which the little ones will love, alongside more activities for them to enjoy. The whole family will appreciate our hayrides in the park and don’t forget to check out the robotics demo we’ll be showcasing throughout the evening. We’re pleased to have live musical entertainment that will get your toes tapping, enhancing the family-friendly, feel-good atmosphere. We’re known for our friendliness and neighborliness, and this year’s Celebration in the Park will be no different, with everyone having a good time.
Fireworks
It wouldn’t be a true celebration without the inclusion of fireworks! We are excited to announce that our firework display will start at 7:30 p.m. in Hiller Park. Get ready for Catherine wheels, rockets, crackles, comets, and more that will light up the night sky and leave you breathless. The fireworks display will be a moment where we all come together and enjoy each other’s company, commemorating the founding of the Village of Johnsburg, and we can’t wait!
Refreshments Available
We will have plenty of food and beverages available, ranging from pulled pork and corn on the cob provided by 3-Zero-1 Boys BBQ Supply, to pizza from JHS Cheer, and snacks such as hotdogs, pretzels, and nachos from the Junior Skyhawks Football team. For those of you with a sweet tooth, Johnsburg PTO will have DQ Ice cream available, and caramel apples will be supplied by the JOG club. Alcoholic beverages will be sold by the Lions club, while cold drinks and sodas will be available to purchase from St. John the Baptist Catholic School. These are just some of the refreshments that will be on sale during the evening. Come along to find out what else we are offering at this year’s Celebration in the Park.
