St. John's Playday Golf Outing and Dinner on May 13th at the McHenry Country Club. Shotgun start is at 1PM, lunch on the course, dinner and silent auction at 6:30PM and social hours 7PM to 11PM. New this year is a Helicopter Ball Drop, a Wine Pull and the band Patio Daddy-O will be playing during social hours. The Parish Hall/School Gym is being renovated and funds raised will be used to replace the carpet floor. CLICK HERE for more information or call 815-790-6396.
The 48th Annual Fair Diddley will be held Sunday, May 15th at Woodstock Square. The fair features hand-crafted work including: folk art, wood carving, dried florals, pottery, painted and appliqued clothing, jewelry, fine art, food vendors and much more. Parking and admission are free.
The Johnsburg Public Works Department will be conducting its annual spring brush pickup beginning June 6, 2016. All brush must be placed by the road no later than 7:00AM on June 6th. Crews will make one pass through each subdivision therefore any branches that are not placed by the road when they go by will not be picked up at a later time. CLICK HERE for more information.
The Mooseheart Bike Blessing & Run is the center piece event of International Moose Ride 4 Kids Day. Hundreds of "Moose Riders" from all over the country and the general public have attended this growing annual event. Funds raised during the blessing and ride benefit the children of Mooseheart and Special Olympics North America Softball program. This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st.
