The Johnsburg Lions hosts monthly Meat raffles to the assist those who are in need of eye, ear and other support within the Johnsburg community. The Meat Raffles are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at Chef Davitos Restaurant, 4000 N. Johnsburg Road. The first raffle begins at 7:30.

Standard and Poors recently upgraded the bond rating on the Village’s Series 2009 General Obligation Refunding Bonds from AA/Stable to AA+ and Affirmed the Stable outlook. The upgrade in the rating was issued predicated upon several factors including the Village’s maintenance of very strong reserves and good financial management practices. This year's Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) which includes basic information on the source(s) of your drinking water, the levels of any contaminants that were detected in the water during 2013, and compliance with other drinking water rules, as well as some educational materials that are included. The McHenry County Division of Transportation (MCDOT) recently began work on the County's 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan. The Plan will provide a blueprint for all future transportation decisions, including infrastructure projects, prioritizing projects, maintaining the existing transportation system, and expanding the options that residents have to get to their destinations.
