JABA has had a very successful 2013 under the leadership of President, William Wiltse, Vice President, Frank Hosticka, Secretary, Linda Wemple and Treasurer, John Huemann. In 2013 JABA sponsored a very successful Johnsburg Business Expo with Richard Bierman as Chairman, the "State of the Village" Dinner, with Josh Hagen and Debbie Adams as Co-Chairmen, the Scholarship Committee chaired by Dr. Rachel Northern and the Membership committee chaired by Frank Hosticka. Newly elected 2013 Officers are President Frank Hosticka, Vice President, Richard Bierman, Secretary Lori Boyle and Treasurer John Huemann.
With a growing membership of over 60 members, JABA looks forward to 2014 with improved services to help local businesses grow. Consider becoming a member and take advantage of their services starting with discounts to exhibit your business at the next EXPO on March 15, 2014. The Johnsburg Lions hosts monthly Meat raffles to the assist those who are in need of eye, ear and other support within the Johnsburg community. The Meat Raffles are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at Chef Davitos Restaurant, 4000 N. Johnsburg Road. The first raffle begins at 7:30.
Any vehicle housed or registered in the Village requires a vehicle sticker. If you have not purchased your vehicle sticker, please come to the Village Hall between 8AM and 4:30PM Monday through Friday to purchase them. The Police Department has started issuing ordinance violation tickets to any vehicle not complying. A violation ticket is now $100.00. Stickers for passenger cars, motorcycles and trucks under 4 tons gross weight are now $40.00 and for trucks over 4 tons gross weight, the sticker cost is now $100.00.
On Tuesday, June 18th, the Johnsburg Area Business Association (JABA) hosted the 3rd Annual State of the Village Dinner at the Johnsburg Community Club. Business owners from the community attended the dinner to network and hear the State of the Village address presented by Village President Ed Hettermann. The presentation included achievements made in the past year and identified exciting programs and projects anticipated for the future.
